When You Roll A Joint Out Of My Heart
And Smile Like Tears That Are Ready To Faint When Held In The Palm
Know That During That Moment Of Intoxification
You Are Fed On The Sorrow Of My Sins
That At The The Tip Of Your Fingertips
Your Lips Consume My Choatic Skepticism
The Fact That You Are Working Out My Salvation
With A Good Buzz That Lets You Wander Far Down The Alley Of My Soul
Where You Will Still Be Sensible Enough To Leave
But Only Once In Your Lifetime
Only Once Going To Where There Is No Address
No Leisurely Path Amoung Favorite Winds
Like A Summer Sunrise
In A Poet’s Poems,
All The Corners Of The World
Have Been Given To Me On Earth,
And Now Something Swims In My Head.
As I Wish I Could Wish All My Days
To Be Like A Fish Thrown In The Sea.
To Never Set Foot Again On Land,
To Remain Unspoken And Barely Disturbed,
Not Worrying About Peacetime
Or If I Am Vulnerable To Beauty,
Not A Captive In My House Or The Rails Ahead,
No Coffins Or Bearded Addresses,
No Lobbies Of Congress Or Prisons Believed To Be Dante,
No Waiting For The Great Paris Exhibition To Open Those Being Born,
Or Mattress Parties In The Old Cemetary Of The Four Seasons,
No Sixteen Hours A Day In Observation Posts Sentenced To Neatness,
No Generations Carrying On Like Crazy Telling Me I Am In Breach Of The Law,
No Great Upheaval About How God Is Deaf And Orphaned These Days,
No Cities Packed Into My Heart Like A Flame Kept Stubbornly Alive,
No Being Alone Like The Last Frangrance Ever Blown,
No Seeking The Self I Have Lost Because I Know I Am Stretched Into Darkness,
No Going Back Down The Same Pathways As If Constricted Full Of Patience,
And No Prison Uniforms Because My Home Was Burned Down Throughout History.
Just All The Corners Of The World Have Been Given To Me On Earth,
Like A Summer Sunrise In A Poet’s Poems;
An Observation Post On A Rainbow
